I havent stepped into a class for over a year.. and yesterday i walked into Jill Parker beginners class and had almost forgotten how fast paced classes are. Im so used to just popping in a DVD and fast forward and replay parts when i dont catch it. It was really embarrising how i kept on stumbling.. at one point my legs started to tremble and shake so badly i just had to stop and stand in the back. It was that, the legs trembling, that made me stop dancing a year ago, the trembing got to bad that they gave out from under me and a friend had to carry me to her her. This time i didnt push myself but i also dont want to stop again.
sorry about the rant but dose anyone else feelings like this?

Re: shaky legs
Fri, April 28, 2006 - 2:06 PMI'm sorry to here you had to quit. Don't give up though there is hope. I also had to quit everything and ended up on Social Security. Lost my business, marriage, social life. BUT I finally decided that even If I could last even 5 minutes, then I would enjoy the 5 minutes. It goes up and down. I took up belly dancing and swimming. Both are low impact exercises. And the bellydancing opens up the opportunity to perform which I love. But No matter what activity be sure to surround yourself with loving and caring people so that no matter if you have to sit and take a break, your efforts will be rewarding to you shaky legs and all.

Re: shaky legs
Thu, July 5, 2007 - 5:13 PMI know this is SOOO late, but I haven't had the time or energy to read/respond to anything in my month or so of membership.
I OFTEN get shakey when exercising. Especially when I'm flaring from lupus or fibromyalgia. Also, this happens when my blood sugar is out of whack.
I've only been diagnosed with hypoglycemia, but it's been happening a LOT in the last month or so. I just saw doc today and he said for me to nibble on protien througout the day and avoid carbs (something I know I should do but have been "bad" about for the last year or so).
Doc informed me that he's seen a LOT of his autoimmune patients develop pancreatitis (sp?) and that it often leads to diabetes. Something to watch, or check out if you can.
HTH
